All you need to know about ladders

Ladders are a simple but extremely useful invention. Ladders are used in all parts of the world for tasks as simple as fitting a light bulb to helping people escape in the event of a fire. The design of a ladder has been improved vastly in the last few decades. However, the main framework does remain almost the same as it always was.

Modern ladders are usually made out of aluminium. For anyone who is looking to purchase a ladder, there are a host of options available. Firstly, you have the basic ladder which will allow you to reach places beyond your height with ease. You can also opt for an extension ladder. Extension ladders are usually employed by fire fighters as they can open up and make it easy for you to reach heights upwards of 10 to 15 metres with ease.

For times when one needs to reach even greater heights, telescopic ladders can be used. These ladders have a lot of tubes which are placed one inside the other. These tubes can be opened up almost like a telescope to increase the length of the ladder to a great extent.

Modern ladders are also quite safe and have a lot of grip on their feet to prevent them from slipping. They are also designed in a manner so as to provide maximum balance to the person climbing up.
