What is the length of the ladder when closed?
This is dependent on which size you choose. Take a look at the Specification Sheet in our ‘Fact Sheets’ tab. This has pretty much every measurement you will need.
Can this ladder be used on stairs?
I’m afraid not, but we do sell a 2 or 3 Section Stair Combination Ladder. You can find these in the ‘Combination Ladders’ section on our website.
Is the stabiliser bar removable?
Yes it is, for storage or transport purposes. When using the ladder, the stabiliser should be attached at all times.
Can the ladder be used as a straight ladder too?
Absolutely. It can be used as an extension ladder, in the A-Frame position or in the extended A-Frame mode (ʎ).
Can I remove the sections, to use as a single ladder?
You can’t separate the back 2 sections, as these are connected by a safety strap but, you are able to remove the top section on models up to the 10 Rung. To keep in line with the latest EN131 Professional Standard, the top sections of the 11 and 12 Rung model cannot be removed.
What is the difference between ‘Extended Height’ and ‘Free Standing Height’?
The Extended Height refers to the maximum length the ladder will be when it is leant against the wall, like an extension ladder. The Free Standing Height displays the height of the ladder when it is being used in the extended A-Frame mode (ʎ)
Can the ladders be stored outside?
Yes they can. The ladders are made from aluminium, so they will not rust if left outside. However if you are storing this way, it might not be a bad idea to put a cover over them.
