Packed full of unique features not seen elsewhere, including the hard wearing rubber mats on the treads and its extra large triangular shaped rubber feet, it also includes an operating pole – meaning you have everything you need in one box. The compact design ensures the ladder is stored within the hatch perimeter, maximizing storage space in your loft. They are supplied fully assembled for user convenience which means it is our quickest and easiest loft ladder to install and, with 5 sizes to choose from, it will almost certainly fit your application.

The hatch opening needs to be 450mm by 570mm (600mm for ladder models 11ft and over). More information and dimensions, including climbing angle etc. can be found in our ‘Fact Sheets’ tab on the product page.

This varies between the models but anywhere from 14kg, for the 8ft model and 22 kg for the 12ft model.

Unfortunately not. The ladder itself sits in the loft space directly above the door, so there is no room. A swing-down door will be required or you can use our free hatch conversion kit (supplied with ladder) to convert an existing push up door.

Yes you can. Our Concertina Loft Ladder can be extended to a maximum of 12ft. Please give us a call to discuss further.

Out of all the loft ladders we supply, it is by far the quickest to install. The ladder itself comes fully assembled so all you need to do is screw the backboard in to the joist or joist sized timber.Tip: If installing on your own, it may be beneficial to fit a temporary baton to take the weight of the ladder, making it easier to screw in to place.

Yes, you can use the ladder at any height below this. If the ladder is too long for your ceiling height, you can simply remove the desired amount of treads to correct this.

This is correct. The treads on the ladder are designed to angle inwards slightly to make climbing the ladder easier. If you feel they are angled too much, you can either remove a tread to make the ladder shorter (meaning the treads will rotate around more) or you can change the angle in which the ladder is set at.

The optimal angle is between 65° and 80°.

Base position can be set to suit your application - if you are limited on floor space below the loft opening then this is a particularly useful feature. Also takes up minimal space inside your loft, requiring just 350mm above the hatch and no space outside the perimeter of your loft opening. In short, we can pretty much guarantee that there is a loft ladder in this range to suit your application. Treads can be easily removed for lower ceilings.
