Our Extra Wide Space Saving Staircase has all the great features of the Deluxe Space Saving Staircase but with the added benefit of an increased tread width (615mm), for easier and more comfortable climbing. Manufactured from spruce timber (rather than weaker pine), this staircase has a massive weight rating of 300KG and a complimentary full length handrail, all at an unbeatable price – making our stair excellent value for money.

Unfortunately the Bar & Hook Kit doesn’t work as the staircase is too wide. It can only be used with our standard Deluxe model or the Deluxe Compact staircase.

Unfortunately not. The stringers (sides) of the staircase are rebated, to allow for the treads to slot in. Changing the pitch would mean the treads are not parallel to the floor.

This is all dependant on the height of the staircase. Take a look at our technical diagram in our ‘Fact Sheets’ tab. This will show you exactly how far the staircase protrudes from the wall

We use spruce timber on all our Space Saving Staircases, because it is a lot more durable than Pine.

Of course, you can paint to match your existing décor.

Yes, because the treads are the same width either end, you can always cut these down to the desired width.
